RTSA To Implement New Electronic Driver’s License System

The Road Transport and Safety Agency-RTSA-will soon implement a new electronic driver’s license system.
The new system will enable banning erring drivers’ licenses for a specified period of time.
RTSA Chief Executive Officer, Zindaba Soko, has explained to the Parliamentary Committee on Transport and Communications that once the system is implemented it will instill discipline in motorists who are in the habit of disregarding road safety.
Mr. Soko also says RTSA has asked the Lusaka City Council to avoid placing billboards in a manner that obstructs motorists’ vision.
