Copperbelt Cross Border Traders Form Solidarity Economic Movement

Cross border traders on the Copperbelt have formed a Solidarity Economic Movement in a bid to push for recognition in the informal sector.
Copperbelt Cross border Traders Acting Chairperson General Poster Jumbe says the movement will be tasked to push for engagements between informal traders and government.
Mr. Jumbe adds that the movement will demand that the Ministry of Local Government should involve traders in the administration of taxes collected from trading areas in the informal sector.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jumbe has demanded for the revision of statutory instrument number 76 which bans the movement of buses at night.
