JCTR Urges Government To Engage Millers To Reduce Mealie Meal Prices

The Jesuit Centre for Theological Reflection-JCTR has urged government to broker a deal with millers to reduce persistent high mealie meal prices.
JCTR Livingstone Distrcit Coordinator George Makah has told Muvi TV Business News that Ninety Three Kwacha per twenty five kilogram breakfast bag of mealie meal is too costly for average poor Zambians.
Mr. Makah was speaking following the JCTR’s release of the monthly Basic Needs Basket-BNB for April.
