Pres. Lungu’s Statement On Reconciliation Disappoints SACCORD

Southern African Center for Constructive Resolution of Disputes-SACCORD is saddened with President Edgar Lungu’s statement on dialogue and reconciliation.
SACCORD Executive Director Boniface Chembe says there is no way the President will run away from being challenged on matters of national interest.
He says stakeholders will continue calling for dialogue from both Mr Lungu and UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.
On Monday, President Lungu said people should not only be telling him to initiate dialogue and reconciliation but that the opposition should also be told to do so.
