Prosecution Team Closes Case In Another Of Deputy Police IG Sibote’s ‘Cows’ Case

The Prosecution team has closed its case after the last witness testified in a matter in which Deputy Inspector General of Police Eugine Sibote has dragged four Kafue farmers to court on allegations that they stole his cows.
Kafue Police Station Chief Investigations Officer Hector Sichitenda has testified that among the five cows that were collected from three farms, two had brand marks but not that of Mr Sibote.
Meanwhile retired Judge Munalula Lisimba has told Kafue Magistrate Emmy Mbewe that he exchanged two young bulls with heifers with a man named Zeron and not with any of the accused persons.
In this matter, Freedom Simala, Cephas
Lisima, Christopher Lifasi and Clinton Macheka are between April and June 2016 accused of stealing 10 herds of cattle, the property of Mr Sibote.
