UPND Supporters Protest Continued Incarceration Of HH

UPND Supporters have protested the continued incarceration of party President Hakainde Hichilema.
The placard carrying protestors have decribed Mr Hichilema’s hands as clean and have demanded his immediate release.
Lusaka Principal Resident Magistrates David Simusamba is still holding the key to UPND President Hakainde Hichilema’s freedom as he fails to rule on the validity of the alleged treason charge.
When the matter came up for ruling on whether or not to proceed with the treason case to the High Court, Lusaka Magistrate Betty Malupenga who adjourned the case to Wednesday, informed Mr Hichilema that the presiding Magistrate is unwell and could not deliver the ruling.
Mr. Hichilema and five others are in detention for over a month now for alleged treason although two other cases against him have been dropped.
