Chief Chibwika Takes Firm Stance Against Early Marriages

Chief Chibwika of the Lunda speaking people in Mwinilunga District of North-western Province has warned of stern action against parents and guardians forcing the girl-child into early marriages.
The Traditional leader has since advised girls to bring the perpetrators of such vices to his attention.
He was speaking during celebrations of the day of the African child 2017 under the theme, ‘The 2030 agenda for sustainable
development for children in Africa, accelerating protection, empowerment
and equal opportunities.
