Former Copperbelt Minister Stopped From Visiting Incarcerated HH

Former Copperbelt Minister Mwenya Musenge has been denied access to incarcerated UPND President Hakainde Hichilema at Lusaka Central Correctional Facility.
Mr. Musenge who is also former PF Chimwemwe Member of Parliament attempted to visit Mr. Hichilema on Friday afternoon.
Mr. Musenge claims he passed through prison security without any problems until a prison officer received a call from an unknown person.
He alleges that there was panic among prison officers before they asked him to turn back, saying he could not be allowed to see Mr. Hichilema.
Mr. Musenge claims he only managed to see Obvious Mwaliteta.
He wonders why visiting a suspect has become a hustle in Zambia, adding that the trend is not only an infringement of human rights but a dent on democracy.
