Health Service Delivery Remains A Challenge In Zambia – Us Medical Experts

A United States team of medical experts has observed that inadequate access to health services remains a challenge in most parts of Zambia.
The Orphan Medical Network International-OMNI says consistency in the quality of health care service is not being achieved due to distance in accessing facilities.
OMNI president Karen Throckmorton says providing health care for the less privileged is important in order for countries including Zambia to achieve economic growth.
Mrs. Throckmorton was speaking when she led a team of US medical experts in conducting mobile clinics in Mackenzie Township in Ndola.
Meanwhile, Ndola Rotary president Timothy Katanekwa has praised OMNI’s contribution to the health sector, and hopes that a permanent health facility can be established in the area.
