Investor, Freedom Fighters In Land Dispute

A land dispute has resurfaced in Ndola’s Kaloko Township between a Real Estate company and young freedom fighters.
It has emerged that Khalif Real Estate Company has title to a two hectare land which freedom fighters claim to have been given by government.
The company went ahead to demolish incomplete structures at the site and obtained an injunction restraining anyone from trespassing or building on the land.
The fighters’ claim that they have letters of offer for the same land is yet to be determined at the Ndola High Court before Judge.
And Bwana Mkubwa Member of Parliament Jonas Chanda has urged Lands Minister Jean Kapata to quickly table the revised Land Act in order to bring sanity in land administration in the country.
