Lusaka Water Utility Denies Responsibility For Kalingalinga Typhoid

Kalingalinga residents have attributed the outbreak of typhoid in the area to the water being supplied by the Lusaka water utilty.

However, Lusaka Water and Sewerage Company Public Relations Manager Nshamba Muzungu has refuted the claims saying the outbreak is due to poor hygiene practices.

Mr. Muzungu adds that samples of water supplied to other parts of the city were taken and the findings revealed that the water does contain any bacteria that could cause the typhoid outbreak.
