Ndola Airport Displaced Farmers Receive Title Deeds, Compensation

One hundred and eighty six settlers have received title deeds and compensation in order to vacate the land earmarked for the construction of the Copperbelt International Airport.
The settlers are part of the over four hundred who will be relocated to Misaka Forest Number Five.
Government has released over 21 million kwacha for the settlers.
And Copperbelt Minister Bowman Lusambo has warned the farmers not to sell the land.
Mr. Lusambo urged the farmers to continue with farming activities in order for them to sustain their lives.
He was speaking at the handover ceremony of title deeds and cheques to the settlers.
