Ndola Teachers Suffer Unclear Salary Deductions

Over thirty teachers have complained of illegal deductions from their salaries by a named financial lending institution.
Zambia National Union of Teachers-ZNUT Ndola district secretary William Mbuzi has confirmed that the deductions are ranging between three hundred and five hundred kwacha.
Mr. Mbuzi says the development is shocking because the affected teachers had never made an application for the loan which is reflecting on their payslip.
Mr. Mbuzi added that the deductions are painful as the members are already squeezed financially due to the hard economy.
He has since revealed that the Union will report a case of theft to relevant authorities in order to protect the membership in the district.
