Pres. Lungu Challenged To Prove His Legitimacy Through Legal Means

The Civil Society Constitution Agenda-CiSCA has challenged the Patriotic Front-PF to use legal means available to prove to the UPND that President Edgar Lungu was legitimately elected.
CiSCA Chairperson Bishop John Maambo says the move will be the only route to put the matter causing political tension to a close.
Bishop Mambo says CiSCA believes that both UPND President Hakainde Hichilema and President Lungu have the interest of the nation at heart and will demonstrate leadership through dialogue.
Meanwhile, CiSCA has expressed surprise that President Lungu can still not see the crisis in the country.
Bishop Mambo says it is no longer a secret that the country is highly toxic with hate speech and tribal statements.
He says CiSCA believes that the lack of constitutionalism and disrespect of the rule of law by some politicians especially from the ruling Patriotic Front-PF must be condemned.
He was speaking during a Press Briefing held at Kapingila House in Lusaka.
