UN Urges Zambian Govt To Integrate Congolese Refugees Into Society

United Nations Country Representative Laura lo Castro has implored the Zambian government to consider integrating Congolese nationals who have stayed in the country for over 20 years.
The UN Chief made the call at the 2017 World Refugee commemorations at Maheba camp in Kalumbila district where she also called on refugees to be law abiding.
And Home affairs Minister Steven Kampyongo revealed that over ten thousand Angolans have been integrated since 2012 while more than 13 thousand resident permits are being processed.
This was in a speech read on his behalf by Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister, Lawrence Sichalwe.
