Zambia Police Lectured On Pre-Trial And Detention

The Zambia Police Service has been advised to ensure they gather enough evidence before arresting and detaining suspects.
Speaking during the three-day Social Economic of Pre-trial and Detention Workshop, Researcher at the Dullar Omar Institute University of Western Cape, Jean Redpath says the Zambian Judicial system must improve its operations.
Meanwhile, Project Cordinator Professor Lukas Muntingh says the state must be made to explain when the suspect stays in detention for over the stipulated period of 48 hours,
