IAAF Doubts 100 Metres Runner Sydney Siame’s Record

The International Association for Athletics Federation – IAAF has doubted the record set by Zambian 100 metres runner Sydney Siame’s on 9th April 2017.
Siame, a Zambia Police officer, timed 9.88 seconds in 100 metres race during the All-Comers Meet at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
But the world athletics body is in doubt over the time and wants to institute investigations to ascertain the truth.
According to the IAAF website, the federation has not approved Siame’s 9.88 seconds timing and has since ranked him 142 in the world based on the 10.22 clocking he attained at another All-Comers Meet on March 11, 2017 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
But Zambia Amateur Athletics Association General Secretary, Davison Mangambata says the association has not received any notification from IAAF and will find out why the federation cannot recognise the athlete’s new record.
