Luanshya Police Quell Anti-Kambwili Protest

Police in Luanshya have stopped the Patriotic Front from holding a solidarity match in Mpatamatu Township.
Police told the district leadership that the party did not apply for a police permit to allow them to conduct the match.
The solidarity march was scheduled for 10:00hours but the cadres were only addressed by their leaders four hours later.
Road constituency chairman Jonathan Bukula advised the cadres to disperse.
Luanshya District Chairman Gordon Siwale says the solidarity match was aimed at supporting the party’s decision to expel Roan PF Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili.
