Unregistered Motor Vehicles Banned

The Zambia Police has banned the use of unregistered motor vehicles countrywide.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo says only motor vehicles in transit will be allowed on Zambian roads.
Mrs. Katongo however, says the respective vehicles should be accompanied with relevant documents.
She says officers have been directed to impound motor vehicles moving without proper documentation.
She further says Zambians will not be allowed to drive vehicles with foreign number plates without any justifiable reason.
And police has increased the award from 300 thousand to 500 thousand kwacha to anyone with information that will lead to the apprehension and successful prosecution of criminals behind the spate of fires that have rocked the country.
