25 Percent Electricity Tariffs Hike Effective Tomorrow

The remaining proposed 25 percent electricity tariffs hike will take effect tomorrow, 1st September 2017.
This will bring the total tariff upward adjustment to 75 percent after the initial 50 percent increase in May this year.
ZESCO Spokesperson Henry Kapata has confirmed the increase entails a shift from 77 ngwee per unit to 89 ngwee per unit for domestic use.
He adds that commercial consumption will increase is from 47 ngwee per unit to 54 ngwee per unit.
