Lundazi Township Demarcation Sparks Wrangles

The extension of the Lundazi Township demarcation has sparked wrangles between Chief Mphamba the Sixth and his village headmen.
The headmen have accused the chief of selling the land to the district council without their consent.
Headman Dunda and four others have written to relevant authorities including the head of Mphamba royal family Brace Mfune seeking intervention into the matter.
In a letter obtained by MUVI TV NEWS, the headmen stated that the chief is signing title deeds for people who have attempted to displace some villagers.
However, Eastern Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo says the headmen are using this as an excuse to get rid of chief Mphamba the sixth.
