Oil Transporters Happy With Increased Transportation Volumes

Local Oil Transporters are happy with government’s decision to increase transportation volumes from twenty percent to fifty percent.
The Petroleum Transporters Association of Zambia says the decision is welcome as it will contribute to the growth of the energy sub-sector in the country.
Association General Secretary Benson Tembo says more jobs will be created for drivers, who are now able to transport fuel from Tanzania and Mozambique to depots dotted in the country.
He says the challenges that the association now faces is with certain financial lending institutions who have delayed the acquisition of more tanker vehicles.
Mr. Tembo was speaking at the Association’s elective annual general meeting held in Ndola.
