Rubber Farmers Stranded With Produce

Rubber farmers in Nchelenge Luapula Province have complained of non-availability of markets.

The farmers say their efforts to grow rubber are going in vain because there is no one willing to buy the commodity.

They revealed that following the closure of DUNLOP years ago there has been no dependable clients for rubber.

And, Nchelenge District Forestry Officer, Charles Chalwe says the area has suitable climatic conditions to grow rubber despite lack of market opportunities.
