Southern Province Farmers Urged To Explore Other Avenues In Maize Marketing

A Cooperative Farmers’ Union in Southern Province has urged members to embark on alternative avenues that will boost self-reliance amid disappointment from state actors in the marketing of crops such as maize.

Rwinick Mapanza who oversees Livingstone and Kazungula Small-scale farming blocks says the commemoration of this year’s Farmers’ Day is full of mixed feelings due to persistent problems that continue to hurt his members that are desperate to make a living from their effort.
