Tailor Denies Stealing Judge’s Chitenge Material

35 year old Congolese national, Andrew Choma has pleaded not guilty to a charge of theft of a Chitenge material from Judge Catherine Makungu.
Choma, a tailor at intercity bus terminus has since been remanded in custody after he failed to apply for bail pending trial set for August 17,2017.
Details before the court are that last month Judge,Makungu took three pieces of chitenge material to Choma to sew two suits and one dress.
The Judge paid K 600 as labour but Choma only sewed one suit and a dress as the chitenge had been stolen.
Choma during interrogation allegedly agreed to replace the Chitenge material.
