Zimbabwe White Farmers Seek Compensation for Land Loss

White farmers who lost their farms under Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe’s controversial land seizure programme have launched a new legal initiative to seek justice and compensation for the loss of their farms and livelihoods.
Around 4,500 white farmers were forcefully removed from their own land and only a few hundredsof them still operate in the country.
The farmers are represented by South African civil rights group, AfriForum, who have taken their case to the Southern African Community Development Community-SADC.
