Cooperating Partners Call For Harmonization of Development Plans

Head of Development Cooperation
of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank Hofmann has called for harmonization of the medium term expenditure framework and the 7th national development plan.
Dr. Frank Hofmann says this will be enhanced by proper coordination between the Ministry of National Development Planning and the Ministry of Finance.
And Minister of National Development Planning, Lucky Mulusa says the low economic growth in 2016 was mainly due to energy crisis and falling international commodity prices.
Mr. Mulusa says this resulted in government’s failure to meet the set national development targets.
The duo was speaking during the launch of the 2016 annual progress report.
