Lusaka’s Foxdale Residents Accuse Zesco Of Selective Connections

Residents of Lusaka’s Foxdale area have accused ZESCO of being selective in their electricity connection process.

The angry residents say they have paid connection fees amounting to 7,000 Kwacha for each household since October 2016without being connected to date.

Community Chairman Emmanuel Lukwesa says the excuse of lack of material does not hold water as ZESCO employees in the area have had electricity connected to their houses in the last two months.

But ZESCO Spokesperson Henry Kapata has disputed the allegations claiming there are no connections going on as the power utility has no material at the moment.
