Reduced Loadshedding Cheers Chongwe Welders

Some welders in Chongwe town are recording good business attributed to stable power supply.

They say business has in the last few months stabilised following reduced loadshedding.

And Zesco says there is increased demand for power in Chongwe owing to the town’s fast growing pace.

The company says it is on a monthly basis attending to over 150 new customers.

Company Spokesperson Henry Kapata says the company has upgraded the installed capacity of Kapilyomba substation in Chongwe to outstrip the town’s power requirements.
