Continued Mukula Export Ban Angers Chief Chisunka

Chief Chisunka of the Ushi speaking people in Mansa, Luapula Province has challenged Lands Minister Jean Kapata to clarify the ban in trading and exportation of Mukula logs.
He has questioned the continued ban whilst top leaders in government are harvesting Mukula logs.
The Chief is upset that the ban has allegedly been effected only in Luapula, Muchinga and Northern Provinces.
He was speaking when the Luapula Timber Association members visited his palace to seek his intervention in the matter.
And Luapula Province Timber Association Trustee, Adam Bota says his members have made huge losses from the time the ban was effected.
