Litunga’s 17th Coronation Held

Government has appealed to all traditional leaders in the country to take pride in cultural events such as traditional ceremonies and coronation anniversaries.

Western Province Minister Nathaniel Mubukwanu said coronation anniversaries remind people about traditional leadership inheritance, prosperity and also cardinal for growth.

Mr. Mubukwanu was speaking during the 17th Coronation Anniversary of the king of Barotseland, Litunga Lubosi Imwiko the Second.

Meanwhile, the Barotse Royal Establishment-BRE Induna Katema, Aketata Batunda says the royal establishment is focused in ensuring that issues that affect the people of Western Province are addressed.

The Litunga’s coronation ceremony took place at Namoo grounds at his summer capital Lealui in Mongu District of Western Province.
