Stakeholders Happy With Employment Opportunities In Tobacco Industry

Stakeholders in the Tobacco industry have praised the involvement of small traders in the creation of employment opportunities for young people in the country.

Private stakeholders’ chairperson Sacgata Banerjee says the traders’ involvement has brought to light effective skills participation in the business.

Mr Banerjee says the private tobacco companies have been encouraged to invest in young traders by providing capital in order to expand small businesses.

Another tobacco stakeholder Zabu Mwenda has urged small and medium enterprises in the tobacco sector to promote conducive environments for businesses to flourish.

The duo was speaking at an annual trade recognition event in Ndola.
