Transporters Ferrying FRA Maize Yet To Be Paid

Government has urged transporters ferrying maize being purchased by the Food Reserve Agency-FRA-to storage facilities to be patient as government pushes for their payments.
Agriculture Minister, Dora Siliya says the Ministry of Finance is making weekly releases of funds towards paying transporters.
She says it is important that the arrears owed are cleared to allow government focus on the 2017/2018 farming season.
Meanwhile, Ms. Siliya says government is this year not distributing inputs but giving farmers e-vouchers which they will use to procure inputs.
