Teacher Unions Welcome Deferred Schools’ Opening Date

Teacher unions in the country have welcomed the extension of the reopening date of schools.
Basic teachers union of Zambia, General Secretary, Geoffrey Simuntala and Secondary Schools Teachers Union of Zambia, General Secretary Sitikibekiso Wamuyuwa says the most important thing for now is to preserve the lives of teachers and pupils.
The duo however, says teachers and parents should be ready in case of any extensions to the closing date at the close of the term.
They have advised teachers to adequately prepare and see how they can catch up once schools reopen.
