Media Implored On Children Reporting

The media has been urged to be resilient in reporting on the welfare of children because they are the drivers of future socioeconomic advancement.
Media Network on Child Rights and Development Board Member, Chilufya Mwelwa has charged that young people are not given centre stage to make informed decisions as such they choose things that may not be in their interest.
She says giving children a voice boosts their confidence, therefore the media must take children seriously in their reportage.
Mrs. Mwelwa made her remarks during the start of a two day Child Participation Media Training in Livingstone that is attended by journalists from Lusaka and Livingstone.
