University Teaching Hospital Power Failure Paralyzes Key Wards

The University Teaching Hospital-UTH-was last evening plunged in to total darkness following a power failure.

The power blackout paralyzed key wards at the country’s largest referral hospital.

This development has prompted President Edgar Lungu to order an inquiry in to the power failure.

He has directed the Ministers of Health and Energy to give a report on the matter by the end of the day.

Meanwhile, embattled NDC Consultant, Dr. Chishimba Kambwili has blamed President Lungu for allegedly spending huge sums of money on international trips instead of investing in alternative power sources at UTH.
