Reviewing Period for Draft Constitution Extended

The Technical Committee on drafting the Zambian Republican Constitution has extended the reviewing period from forty to ninety days. Earlier the Technical Committee released the draft constitution on 30^th April, 2012 with a forty-day period for stakeholders to study the document and make submissions.

In a statement released to MUVI TV News, Technical Committee spokesperson, Simon Kabanda, says the extension from forty to ninety days has been necessitated by calls from stakeholders for more time in reviewing the national document.

With this new extension, members of the public will now have an extended opportunity to go through the draft constitution up to 31^st July, 2012.
