MMD West Youths Endorse Liato for Veep

MMD youths in Western Province have thrown their weight behind convict Austin Liato for the position of party vice President.

Youths from eight districts led by the youth chairpersons in the province made their position clear yesterday.

They say Mr. Liato is the only courageous person who can help newly elected party president Nevers Mumba in meeting the challenges that the party is facing.

Mr. Liato was recently sentenced to two years imprisonment for concealing 2.1 Billion Kwacha suspected to be proceeds of crime.

The MMD has created two vice presidency positions which are yet to be filled.
