Some soccer fans in Sudan have called for the immediate resignation of the entire national executive committee of Sudan Football Association for using a suspended player.
Saif Ali was used during their 2-nil win in the World Cup qualifier against Zambia, an act that could cost them three points.
The disputed player was not eligible to be featured after he received a second bookable offence on February 3, 2012 in the Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals played in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.
When contacted on mobile phone Sudan’s football association vice president, Sirelkhatim Mutasim, could not confirm or deny the report posted on Ghana web online.
Meanwhile FAZ has received correspondence from FIFA whose contents have been withheld regarding the appeal.
FAZ Spokesperson, Erick Mwanza, explains that procedure was followed in lodging a complaint in line with the FIFA regulations.
