Steven Malama is Dead

Prominent lawyer Steven Malama is dead. Mr. Malama, who has been Kagem emeralds mine board chairman is said to have died on a plane. Circumstances are not yet clear but details indicate that he died on-flight from India.

His body was discovered when Kenyan airline plane landed at Mwansa Kapwepwe international airport in Ndola. His cousin Flavia Chisenga confirmed the death of Mr. Malama.

Mr. Malama was one of the lawyers that represented Finance Bank board Chairperson Dr. Rajan Mathani in cases of alleged forgery.

And Dr. Mathani says he is devastated over Mr. Malama’s death while Lusaka lawyer Sakwiba Sikota described the late Malama as a great lawyer.
