FIFA has implemented a club protection programme in Africa.

The Football Association of Zambia(FAZ) has disclosed that FIFA has implemented a club protection programme in Africa, Zambia inclusive.

This means that the premier league clubs will be compensated by FIFA if their players are injured in the course of playing for the national team.

Clubs affiliated to FAZ will enjoy the benefits of the programme.

FAZ Spokesperson Eric Mwanza has urged the clubs in Zambia to issue contracts to its players if they are to benefit.
