The Chambers of Mines in Zambia says mining companies, by virtue of them being registered in the country, already declare detailed information on their operations and exports.

Early this month, Government announced a Statutory Instrument requiring mining companies to render detailed production and export information to ensure better tax collection from the mines.

In a telephone interview with MUVI TV Business News, Chamber of Mines in Zambia General Manager, Frederick Bantubonse, explained that most of these companies in the mining industry have fulfilled the requirement by government.

He said it is important to note that it’s a registration requirement for all mining companies and those wishing to venture into mining to provide information and outline their operations and export plans before starting business.
