Zambia has welcomed the much talked about goal-line technology. Football Association of Zambia-FAZ- spokes person, Erick Mwanza has disclosed to Muvi TV sport in an interview that the introduction of this technology will help revise and review the rules of soccer.

Mwanza says the technology is necessary due to challenges being faced in the game of football.

Recently FIFA Chief Sepp Blatter repeated calls for goal-line technology to be introduced after an apparent goal was disallowed by the referee in the England-Ukraine match.

FIFA is currently trialing two prototypes of goal-line technology, one from British firm HawkEye, which uses a series of cameras in stadium roofs to track the trajectory of the ball and another from German firm GoalRef, which uses sensors.
