A permanent solution to the problem of street vending in the country continues to elude the PF government. This follows the announcement that Local Government Minister Nkandu Luo is in the next ten days expected to sign a statutory instrument that will regulate vending.

This is a clear departure from the recent pronouncement and ultimatum by Lusaka Province Minister Colonel Gerry Chanda to vendors along Cairo road to leave.

Colonel Chanda has therefore given vendors more days to do their business on the street.
