A 37 year old suspected mentally challenged man of Mazabuka district, Southern Province, is agonizing with a broken leg after being severely beaten by a police officer for allegedly having an affair with his wife.

The enraged police officer of Nega Nega police post is said to have beaten the man after word went round that he was allegedly having an affair with his wife.

The man identified as Timmy Mwakasungula was rushed to the University Teaching Hospital-UTH- for treatment.

His sister Jane confirmed the development to MUVI TV News.
