The Private Sector Development Association says Government should continue being at the centre of petroleum products procurement in the country.

Association chairperson, Yusuf Dodia told MUVI TV news that petroleum commodities are the engine of economic growth, hence Government’s role in procurement process is vital.

Mr. Dodia says though the private sector has an opportunity to participate in the procurement of crude and finished oil products, excise duty of twenty five percent is considerably high.
