Two people have died on the spot while others have sustained serious injuries after a Marcopolo bus belonging to Zambia, Botswana Company overturned following a tyre burst a few kilometers before Chongwe district.

Our staffer Bruce Mwale who rushed to the scene of the accident reports that some of the injured people were rushed to Chongwe district hospital.

A check at Chongwe District hospital found some of the injured been attended to by medical staff at the institution while other bodies have been transferred to Levy Hospital in Lusaka.

The luxury bus belonging is believed to have been coming from Lundazi Eastern Province to Lusaka.
