MMD Threatens Nine MPs With Expulsion

Opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy Members of Parliament that have been appointed as deputy Ministers in the Patriotic Front government have been ordered to relinquish their positions or be expelled from the party.
Party president Dr. Nevers Mumba has ordered the Nine MMD law makers to resign as deputy ministers or risk losing their parliamentary seats.
Dr. Mumba says the nine MPs that have accepted jobs in the PF government have since been communicated to by the National Executive Committee-NEC.
The MMD leader says he would rather have a few united legislators than have a lot of MPs who are divided.
Dr. Mumba has expressed ignorance over the resignation of Keith Mukata as Commerce Deputy Minister.
