Yaluma Rubbishes Fuel Shortage Reports

Energy Minister Christopher Yaluma says reports that three tankers carrying contaminated diesel were turned back are not true.

The country’s fuel shortage in the recent past has been attributed to the three oil tankers that were allegedly carrying the contaminated commodity.

Some service stations have in the last two days experienced erratic diesel supply.

When contacted for a comment, Mr. Yamula expressed ignorance over the matter.

The Minister maintained that the country has enough stock.

Mr. Yaluma in a telephone interview said he visited Indeni oil refinery plant and that all is well.
