Italian Constructor Nabbed Over Road Works

The Government Joint Investigations Team has detained an Italian National who is Director of Fratelli Locci SRI Limited, Antonello Locci.

Seventy-three year old Locci, was summoned on Tuesday in connection with road construction projects awarded to his company by Road Development Agency last year.

His Company is currently working on the Copperbelt under the Formula One Programme.

It is also the same company which has been awarded to undertake road works on the Pedicle Road.

Government Joint Investigative Team Acting Public Relations Officer Christopher Chibanku confirmed the development to MUVI TV News.

Recently former Zambia’s deputy High Commissioner to India Andrew Banda was warned and cautioned for soliciting and receiving gratification from the same company.

Mr. Banda is alleged to have solicited 2 percent payment from Fratelli Locci Limited against payment received from the Road Development Agency on both current and future projects.
